Dental Filling

What is a dental filling?

Dental fillings, also known as a direct restoration, is a restorative procedure placed the day a cavity (decay) is removed to restore the shape, function and health of your tooth. Dental fillings can be placed with a variety of materials such as resin (white), amalgam (silver), and gold.

In addition to restoring teeth affected by decay, dental fillings can be used to treat small chips, cracks, and build up worn teeth to restore their structure.
